A full kitchen, delivered
Induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer, sink with hot water, dishwasher and dinette seating for four — everything you cook with, in a single pod on a trailer.
Melbourne · Owner-operated
A self-contained kitchen pod delivered to your driveway, so a six-week renovation isn't six weeks of takeaway.
The average kitchen renovation takes four to eight weeks of no benchtop, no sink and no stove. A kitchen pod is a working kitchen for the duration — parked outside, invisible from inside the house.
Every fixed-term hire
Induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer, sink with hot water, dishwasher and dinette seating for four — everything you cook with, in a single pod on a trailer.
Delivered on the day you nominate. Levelled, connected to your outdoor tap and power outlet, grey-water discharged into the overflow relief gully or pumped out — you cook that evening.
Built-in dishwasher and compact washing machine, so dishes and laundry don't stop during the hire.
No leaving the pod there, no additional fee. I collect when your kitchen's back in.
Full specification, exact measurements and what disqualifies a site: what's included.
How it works
01
Use the form or call. I'll come back the same day with a firm price and confirm your site can be serviced.
02
Pod arrives on a trailer on the day you nominate. Level, connect water, power, greywater. About 45 minutes on site.
03
One number to call for the whole hire. Remote monitoring on power and tanks picks up issues before you notice them.
04
When the kitchen's back in, I collect. No extra fee — collection is priced into the hire.
Who you're hiring
The Temporary Kitchen Co. is a registered Australian business name, owner-operated by Neil Jones (sole trader, ABN 92 859 542 404). No call centre, no sub-contractors, no franchisees — you speak with the person who delivers, connects and collects the pod.
The value
Every pod is a full working kitchen — cooktop, oven, fridge, sink, benchtop, hot water. Delivered on a trailer, connected in 45 minutes, collected the day your renovation finishes. Nothing to store, nothing to return.
Send the dates and address and you get a firm quote back the same day — no line-item surprises when the pod arrives.
Insurance claims
For insurance builders, restoration firms and adjusters. Invoiced direct to the insurer or builder, not the resident. Rate card, coverage area, lead times and compliance details on the capability page.
Trade
A working kitchen on site keeps homeowners out of your way and off your job. Simple referral terms, invoiced direct.
Common questions
The site needs a level, firm pad of at least 7 m × 3.5 m. The pod unit itself is 4 m × 2.25 m (excluding the drawbar) and the rest is clearance for the drawbar during positioning and access on each side. Clear overhead access for the trailer during delivery. Narrow laneway entries, steep driveways and low overhanging branches rule a site out. The what's included page walks through site requirements before you enquire.
An outdoor cold-water tap within 20 metres. Power is either a 10-amp outlet (Battery Pod) or a dedicated 15-amp circuit installed by the builder's electrician (15-Amp Pod). Grey-water is pumped out or discharged into a sewer-connected overflow relief gully where the property has one — never into the garden or into stormwater. Exact clearances and connection specifics are on the site requirements page.
Anything from about a week upwards. Send the dates and address and you get a firm quote back the same day.
Extensions are common. Get in touch as soon as dates start slipping and the extra weeks are quoted separately. No penalty for extending — the only real risk is another booking being queued for the pod, so give me as much notice as you can.
Yes — for insurance builders, restoration firms and adjusters, temporary kitchen supply is invoiced direct to the insurer or builder rather than the resident. Coverage area, lead times, invoicing and rate card are on the For Insurers page.
