This page sets out the standard hire agreement terms. The version signed at the time of booking takes precedence over anything published here.
1. Parties
The Temporary Kitchen Co. (ABN 92 859 542 404) — "the supplier" — and the person or entity named on the booking confirmation — "the hirer".
2. What is supplied
A self-contained temporary kitchen pod on a road-legal trailer, together with delivery, positioning, connection to site services, ongoing phone support, and collection on the finish date.
3. Hirer responsibilities
- Ensuring the site meets the published requirements before delivery
- Providing safe access, an outdoor cold-water tap, a power outlet (10-amp or 15-amp depending on pod variant), and — where available — a sewer-connected overflow relief gully for grey-water discharge; otherwise grey-water is pumped out
- Using the pod for domestic-scale cooking and food preparation only
- Not modifying, moving or sub-hiring the pod
- Notifying the supplier of any fault or damage during the hire
4. Fees and payment
[CONFIRM] — deposit amount, balance timing, GST treatment and late-payment interest all pending final confirmation.
5. Cancellation
[CONFIRM] — cancellation window, forfeit terms, rescheduling policy.
6. Damage and loss
[CONFIRM] — bond, damage assessment process, insurance interaction.
7. Extensions
Extensions past the booked hire length are subject to availability. Additional weeks are quoted separately and confirmed in writing before the extension takes effect.
8. Insurance-invoiced hires
For hires invoiced direct to an insurer or building contractor, payment terms and any specific scope requirements are set out in the separate supplier agreement between the supplier and that insurer/contractor. Standard 14-day terms apply where no specific arrangement is in place.
9. Limitation of liability
[CONFIRM] — liability cap, exclusions, consumer-law preservation.
10. Governing law
Governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
